Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been closely under surveillance for years now since they eradicated the royal residency. The couple decided Meghan’s scrutiny was conflicting with their marriage and her well-being.
In Oprah’s interview, Meghan Markle came forth to share her secret experiences. She is currently with child and expressed having lost a previous pregnancy due to her stress from Britain’s cruel media. She described the attacks she receives come from her race as being quite different than Kate Middleton’s (her sister-in-law – Duchess of Cambridge). Over the years, we’ve witnessed the controversy about Meghan being the first African American to marry into the royal family. Now Brits are saying Meghan is not the only African American in British Royal family history. Reports state the Royal family dates back to two queens of African origin. Sophia Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz was the queen consort of the British king George III from their marriage on 8 September 1761. Moreover, Brit’s accused Meghan of being overly sensitive and exaggerative in her response to the badgering media. However, Meghan begs to differ.
Meghan explained she didn’t feel free when she carried out duties within the Royal family. Names like Piers Morgan came to the surface when she mentioned close family friends and people who disgraced her in Britain media. Piers Morgan is an English journalist who made offensive comments regarding Meghan’s mental health. These adverse claims against Meghan’s mental health caused her to file a complaint against Piers.
Recently, Co-host Sharon Osbourne friend of Morgan, tweeted in support of Piers storming offset on “Good Morning Britain” in place of confronting the allegations that his comment against the Duchess of Sussex was racist. Sharon who is very influential in Britain tweeted,
On Sharon’s CBS show, she clarified her stance on her tweet, saying “It’s not my opinion,” she said. “Support him for his freedom of speech, and he’s my friend.”
Brits have speculated that Meghan has taken this stance to speak out for fame and money but, most Americans disagree because Meghan and Prince are wealthy without Royal finances. Prince Harry’s mother left him and his brother a large inheritance behind.
Queen Elizbeth recently responded to the interview her grandson and wife did, saying that it will “be addressed by the family privately.” There’s no stopping Meghan now but we await the Queen’s response.

Adante Pointer with ‘Lawyers For The People’ is representing three black men falsely accused of waving a gun around the mall. A white man called the police and reported that black men were seen in the store waving guns around. Instead of those police officers carefully identifying who the suspect was, they assumed Greg Pierson and his two friends were the armed suspects and attacked them in the Saks store, pointing guns at them, screaming, “Get the f*** down.”
Unfortunately, officers picked the wrong men, and in fact, they were unarmed. Police say their response was professional and appropriate, but the three black men and their Lawyer, Adante Pointer, think otherwise. The Police officer had the three black men detained and seated on the mall floor for over 2 hours after realizing they had accused the wrong men. The young men who were falsely accused are just in their 20’s and happen to be frequent shoppers at Saks. They expressed their experience as scary, embarrassing, and humiliating.
Pierson’s friend Michel Melson described his experience in a recent Fox interview, saying, “Very scared, down on the ground. I was listening to everything they said just like I was supposed to ’cause I didn’t want them to shoot me”.
Pierson says they treated him and his friends more aggressively than they treated the white man who made the false call when police discovered the caller was lying. The white man who filed a complaint received a citation for obstructing a police investigation and was released shortly after. “I would like to see the cops be a little more lenient. Take a little more time. Give us a little bit benefit of the doubt sometimes,” said Peirson.
The young black men are indeed filing a lawsuit, and their lawyer, civil rights attorney Adante Pointer with Lawyer’s For The People, is the perfect attorney to represent them. More information to follow.

So what exactly is gaslighting, you ask? To “gaslight” or to be “gaslighted” means to be mentally abused by another person. Medical News Today defines Gaslighting as a form of psychological abuse where a person or group makes someone question their sanity, perception of reality, or memories. It further explains
“People experiencing gaslighting often feel confused, anxious, and unable to trust themselves.”
In more recent news, a well-known talk show host named ‘Wendy Williams’ of The Wendy Williams Show expressed being gaslighted by her ex-husband for over a decade! Both her Movie and documentary aired on January 30, 2021. Wendy explained the events of her devastating relationship in this amazing lifetime documentary and movie ‘Wendy Williams: What a Mess!’ and Wendy Williams: The Movie. The biopic was executive produced by Wendy Williams, narrated by herself, and played by Ciera Payton in the Movie. This Movie and documentary captivate a strong example of a woman being recklessly gaslighted throughout her marriage.
Although gaslighting is more prevalent in romantic relationships, this psychological abuse can be present in popular culture, the workplace, politics, and parent-child relationships.
So how do you know if another individual is gaslighting you? Well, according to The National Domestic Violence Hotline it indicates that a person experiencing gaslighting may feel all of the below:
feel confused and constantly second-guess themselves
find it difficult to make simple decisions
frequently question if they are too sensitive
become withdrawn or unsociable
constantly apologize to the abusive person
defend the mean person’s behavior
lie to family and friends to avoid having to make excuses for them
feel hopeless, joyless, worthless, or incompetent
These are characteristics, which I witnessed in both Wendy Willams’s documentary and Movie and are easily overlooked every day in the lives of both women and men.
Escaping psychological abuse can be difficult, especially if you do not know that you are experiencing mental abuse. But, Thankfully, I’ve got you covered! If you are experiencing any of the above characteristics in any form of relationship listed above, please attempt to take these steps to end your toxic relationship by reading Vox’s article on Spotting and Ending gaslighting in your life today.

Adante Pointer of ‘Lawyers For The People’ holds an outstanding portfolio filled with grit and passion for justice. The Oakland bred lawyer became an agent of change by graduating from U.C Berkely with honors, earning a bachelor’s degree in Political Science Juris and a Doctorate at Hastings College of the Law in San Franciso. With over 16 years at the Law Offices of John Buris, Adante Pointer has represented dozens of families in personal injury cases and police brutality.
Adante Pointer is most known for his victory in Oscar Grant’s family case against BART police officer Mehserle who shot and killed Mr. Grant as he lay face down on a BART station platform. Blockbuster later turned the tragedy into a film called “Fruitvale Station,” starring Michael B Jordan in 2013. In my recent interview with Adante I had the pleasure of really grasping the astonishing work Pointer has been contributing to the community.
In 2019 Adante Pointer experienced an unfortunate encounter with Oakland Police Department after being pulled over and made to crawl on the ground under threats of being shot.
The traumatizing encounter pushed Pointer further in his fight against unruly police officers who continue to disappoint the people they are assigned to protect and serve. Pointer has represented over 10,000 victims and counting throughout his career and continues to provide resources and avenues to educate underserve d communities through his law firm.
The activist has rightfully received numerous awards and honors such as Super Lawyer: 2012 SuperLawyer Magazine Rising Star, Nations Best Advocate: 2012, Minority Bar Coalition: 2016 Unity Award Winner, and the 2017 UC Hastings La Raza Association Leadership Award, to name a few. Adante continues to remain committed to serving the people and advocating for the justice they so deserve.

The invitation-only audio-chat social networking app was valued at $100 million in May 2020 and at $1 billion on January 21, 2021. These numbers are astronomical and have social app owners like Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, Inc concerned. A recent New York Times article reported that Facebook is building a product to compete with Clubhouse. The actual question is, what makes Clubhouse such a threat to other social apps?
What makes Clubhouse such a threat to other social apps?
The answer is Clubhouse is for the Culture. Although the app is not Black-owned, the platform has created a user-friendly space where small black business owners, influencers, and celebrities can stand out. According to the Wall Street Journal, African American talk show host Oprah was one of the first major celebrities to try the app. The app has set the tone for the black community and helped people realize that Clubhouse is a space where everyday people can easily access their favorite idols. In addition to celebrity accessibility, this app gives ordinary people the chance to be heard by some of the world’s most influential people. This innovative networking style has given everyday people opportunities for a lifetime.
In recent news, Elon Musk and Kanye West reported going on Clubhouse together to drop some gems. Elon’s tweet about the pair debuting on the app almost broke the internet. It’s clear that this application has created a unique space for the Culture and the Culture is absolutely here for it.
The app appears only to be available for iOS users, but this app claims to work on android users’ accessibility. Currently, every iOS user can create a Clubhouse account by creating a username and password. However, access to the app is not guaranteed. The country club Esque app-only grants access to an active user who accumulates invites and decides to ask outside users to the platform. With just nine employee’s this application is doing the best they can to offer the application to the world. If you don’t already have a Clubhouse account, find somebody who does because this app is where you want to be.
The monochromatic black and white film was written and directed by Sam Levinson and produced by Ashley Levinson, Sam Levinson, and Kevin Turen. The film has viewers and critics going wild about the intent of the movie. Malcolm and Marie‘s dialogue might be cringe-worthy to anyone who has experienced the infamous “struggle love.”
At the beginning of the film, Malcolm, a young African American director, takes the stage after his movie premiere. His random rants and drunk dance moves will instantly grab your attention and cause you to wonder what all the hype is about.
Are Malcolm and Marie expressing struggle love?
As the spotlight switches to his girlfriend Marie, you can immediately tell that they’re on opposite sides of the spectrum, and Marie seems a bit annoyed. In the first 15 minutes of the movie, Marie appears to be disgusted by Malcolm’s sight celebrating what he considers a win. Only to find out his win is what she considers her loss. As they address the elephant in the room, the film begins to take us on a wild goose chase. It’s clear Malcolm and Marie have had issues for a long time as they both express their anger through insults and sarcasm.
Both characters appear to be unenthused at the sight of each other because the entire time, they cannot sit still. This movie may not be the best suggestion for an epileptic movie buff.
Malcolm and Marie appear to reach a positive peak only to disappoint a hopeless romantic like me because moments after they “make up,” they return to their narcissistic behaviors towards each other again. Malcolm and Marie have no chill, and 45 minutes into the movie, you begin to wonder what happens in the end. Unfortunately, this odd couple expresses all 27 humanely possible emotions in the span of 1 hour into the film and finally leaves us with the reality that this is their norm. Throughout the film, their communication is toxic, abusive, and confusing. This movie is not on my list for “Netflix & chill” night, but Zendaya and John Smith played the riveting roles of a narcissistic, toxic couple.
Dwen Curry, also known as the first “Original Gay Gangster,” premiered in the third episode of the BET hit show, American Gangster: Trap Queens Season 2, narrated by Lil’ Kim on BET+ January 14. In this heartfelt episode, we witness Dwen tell the story of a young confused gay man growing up in the city of Detroit, Michigan, bullied most of his adolescence. She always had to defend her choices as a young gay man soon to evolve into a transgender woman.
This constant battle led to her demise into fatal drug addiction. In her early adult years, Dwen’s mother, who always knew Dwen was different, was concerned and decided to send Dwen off to her uncle for help. Dwen’s uncle, who happened to be a drug addiction counselor, took her in and saved her life. Dwen expressed her gratitude for him stepping in as tears rolled down her face in appreciation. As Dwen overcame her stumbling blocks past, she moved on to a new lifestyle where she could live a better life for herself and her immediate family.
Dwen Curry
She decided to relocate to Oakland, California and became one of the wealthiest hustlers in town. Dwen’s secret side hustle exposed her to a fast-life, flashy cars, and expensive jewelry that ceased to go unnoticed. Her success brought great suspicion and jealousy to Oakland neighbors causing the Oakland P.D to make Dwen a target of an investigation. She was allegedly investigated several times for being a “drug lord,” but Oakland’s lack of proper tools to investigate the case was closed. After several threats, Dwen decided to open her first business, a hair salon called “Just an Illusion,” to get the attention off of her questionable wealth.
How fitting was this name under Dwen’s primary form of personal income, Dwen’s hair salon was no secret to the city of Oakland. Her Salon became a staple for high profile entertainers, elaborate hairstyles, and luxury looks. The start of her business only increased her chances as a target and threat in the community. Dwen was eventually being robbed and shot several times. After many failed attempts at staying a low profiled hustler, Dwen decided it was time to move to a new city, where luxury was a norm.
Dwen Curry has everyone on the edge of their seats on BET Plus
As soon as Dwen relocated to Los Angeles, California, she met actress Lisa Raye and became very close friends with the A-list actress. The two became inseparable, causing Lisa Raye to hire Dwen as her wardrobe stylist. It was not too long after that, Dwen’s career took off and, she became a celebrity Wardrobe Stylist. Dwen’s eclectic style drew eyes all over Hollywood towards her. Her fashion sense started her second business, and a fashion wardrobe house called “Xtreme Measures.”
Dwen began to have a change of heart and wanted to shut down her secret side hustle operation, but in this episode, she expressed the difficulties of letting it go and feeling bound to its wealth. Sooner than later, her wealth became too unnoticeable and led to several acquaintances airing out her dirty laundry. One afternoon in Los Angeles, California, the FBI raided the Curry residence and finally found Dwen’s secret side hustle to their surprise. Dwen was allegedly incarcerated for credit card theft on several different accounts and faced up to 50 years in jail. Fortunately for Dwen, her sentence was reduced to 4 ½ years based on good behavior and completing a drug program.
Sadly, Dwen experienced a lot of jail abuse, which left her serving her time under extreme trauma. As years passed and Dwen completed her sentence, she moved to appreciate her strength and decision to turn over a new leaf, leaving her troubled past behind. In this episode, she expresses relief from her past and finally coming into her own as her authentic self, regardless of other people’s opinions. The hit show airs the first five episodes on BET+ of American Gangster: Trap Queens Season 2 on Thursday, January 14. American Gangster: Trap Queens is unscripted and is executive produced by Emmy Award-Winner, Judge Greg Mathis, Arthur Smith, and Frank Sinton of A. Smith & Co. Productions.
